Join UN Women USA NY for a deeply needed dialogue to explore the inherent racism of systems in our own community, nation and the world, and the specific experience of racism in all aspects of being Black and female in America.
We will begin with a conversation on working in America. We will look at the lived experience of navigating the workplace environment, the pay gap for women of color, unconscious bias in hiring and promoting, the dynamics of racism in workplace culture, and more ways that systemic racism impacts the workplace. The conversation will provide opportunities for self-reflection, tools for growth and actions that participants can take with them to dismantle injustice in personal lives, organizations, systems and the world.
We are thrilled to have the voices, minds and hearts of moderator Jamia Wilson, and panelists Minda Harts, Michele T. Ghee, and Raquel Willis to share their own experiences and explore these issues as they impact a diversity of experiences and identities.
