OWN IT Summit 2017: Georgetown University

OWN IT is a truly unique and disruptive women's leadership organization geared at inspiring the next generation of young women. At OWN IT, we believe leadership should be accessible, inclusive, and diverse. We create summits and opportunities to make that true and to train the next generation of (badass) female leaders. It was founded and built by undergraduate students at Georgetown University in 2013. OWN IT is bridging the gap between female leaders of the 21st century and the millennials who admire them, by shaking up the women's leadership arena and producing accessible events for college-age women. The inaugural OWN IT Summit was held in April, 2014 in Washington, D.C. at Georgetown University, bringing together over 400 attendees, 30 nationally recognized speakers, and hundreds of owning it moments. The second annual OWN IT Summit took place at Georgetown University on Saturday, March 28th, 2015. We had 800 attendees, 78 speakers, 45 breakout sessions, hundreds of people watching online via livestream through Amy Poehler's Smart Girls, 65 volunteers, 5 mainstage conversations, 20 partners, and 10 hours of being the top Twitter trend in D.C.

In addition to our fourth annual Summit that takes place at Georgetown, happening on March 18, 2017, we are hosting Summits at many other American universities.
